Prevnar 13® is Recommended by Doctors at the CDC

Doctors at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend that all children 2 months to 5 years of age receive Prevnar 13®.

CDC and AAP Recommendations

To help prevent invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD) in infants and young children, the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend 4 doses of Prevnar 13® at 2, 4, 6 and 12-15 months of age.
